"Brexit Briefing" Lunch
Due the success of my ongoing series of “Jumbo Lunches”, which I have been arranging in Monaco for over 13 years now, I decided to arrange the next series in Monaco.
With Brexit potentially upon us on 31st October I decided to organize a private lunch attended by 18 business professionals in the form of a 'Brexit Briefing' with a focus on some of the risks that we may be exposed to both investment and real estate related.
I arranged for two excellent guest speakers to join with different perspectives on risks surrounding Brexit.
We were joined by Mark Clubb, a former historic motor racing driver, who is the founder of a new investment management business based in Jersey.
Mark has had a hugely successful career most recently with Canaccord Genuity Wealth in Jersey where he has acted as a stockbroker and a senior member of the organization’s Investment Team. Mark was previously with Altium Capital Partners (previously Apax Capital Partners) specializing in M&AA, fundraising, IPOs and Corporate Advisory Services.
Mark discussed Brexit risks from an investment management perspective and suggested some ways of mitigating those risks.
Our second speaker was Alan Waxman, who in 1998 founded Landmass UK a multi - disciplined, award winning luxury property development and interior design company.
Alan’s company has completed 33 residential development projects in Central London with another 25 projects spearheaded by his interior design team completed or underway. Alan has vast experience of the London market and is in the perfect position to comment on Brexit risks from a Central London real estate perspective.
As always, this was not a corporate event and there were no sales presentations.
The event was an opportunity to network with a group of interesting and like- minded people in an informal setting both before, during and after a lunch at the table d'hôte "My Way 2" in Monaco.
